In a significant step reflecting its commitment to developing Saudi talent, OSLCO has launched its first cohort of Saudi maritime cadets for onboard training during Ramadan 2026. The program is being conducted aboard the vessels Sea Wave 1 and Sea Wave 3, in collaboration with King Abdulaziz University, represented by the Faculty of Maritime Studies, as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support workforce localization in the maritime sector. 

The cadet cohort includes a select group of qualified Saudi trainees who have officially commenced their operational duties, working in accordance with the highest standards of safety and quality. The initiative represents an important milestone in the company’s journey to strengthen the presence of national talent within the maritime industry. 

Buhour Al-Mashreq emphasized that this initiative aligns with its strategic vision to develop and train highly capable Saudi professionals who can contribute to shaping the future of the Kingdom’s maritime sector with competence, professionalism, and leadership.
